Norwich treat as the best team in the world, says Gerrard

Steven Gerrard has urged Liverpool to treat Norwich City " as the best team in the world " when they meet in the Premier League on Sunday .

Liverpool sit two points ahead of Chelsea at the top of the division , while Manchester City are still five points behind - but with two games in hand - after their 3-2 defeat at Anfield on Sunday.
And while Norwich are at the heart of the battle for top-flight survival , Captain Gerrard insists the match at Carrow Road should be considered as difficult as the famous 2005 UEFA Champions League final victory over Liverpool Milan.
" Every game becomes more because we are closer to the latter part of the season, " the 33-year -old is widely reported as saying in the British media .
" Man City was always going to be huge, because they are in the race with us, but now become Norwich Man City. Become Chelsea Norwich . Norwich become Manchester United. This is how big it is .
"We have to deal with Norwich as we dealt with AC Milan in 2005. This is how football is . We can not think about what color shirts are Norwich and staff them. We must treat them as the best team in the world. "
Liverpool are a series of 10 consecutive victories in the league but Gerrard has urged his team-mates against complacency as they relate to four other victories that the first ring seal top-flight club since 1990.
"This is a remarkable race, but you have nothing to do," he added. " You get a pat on the back. We all had , but they come and go. Which is the key footballer becomes something to show for all the hard work .
"We were on a great race . We could win 13 on the spin , but losing the last and we will get nothing . Nobody will remember . The only way people will remember it if we and winning.
" We have learned to forget where we are and forget what we did. We 've just got to focus and prepare to Norwich now . We need to treat it like it 's the last match of all our careers. This is the mentality . "
